[AZ-Observing] Re: SQM Readings

I was at the Antenna site Friday night and noticed a spike of light sticking
straight up due west. I thought it was a treatment plant. It didn't really
interfere with observing much at all, but it illuminated a spot of clouds over
it at about 20 deg up. A revolting development.

Only problem with KOFA/Hovatter is some dufus built a truck stop on the
north side of the interstate and has 4 incredibly bright searchlight like
lamps shining STRAIGHT UP and from 5-6 miles away it looks like the Zodiacal
light!! The lights didn't even illuminate the flag on the pole which I
assume was the intention.
They were illuminating the cloud cover last night....
Need to see what can be done about this.

(Hovatter, KOFA) are as dark as you'll find anywhere, especially
KOFA obviously. Nice to know that spot is as dark as it is
despite the proximity of Yuma. Still only a 7/10 site?
