Hi Jeff, I'm not surprised; the field advances very quickly... That will be exciting to hear and see. THX for the "Heads UP" on that. No doubt there will be similar work performed with the new LBT very soon.... So can we squeeze 10 each 14 inch mirrors into your back yard? We need about 150 ft of length for it... FYI, the shed/buildings for the Palomar Observatory interferometer were constructed by Dave Rettig's boys (when he was still alive). We looked >down< on the facility from the outside catwalk on the Palomar 200 inch dome when we toured the mountain during one of the last IAPPP meetings in San Bernardino.... (Dave was an old timer in the IAPPP... I sure miss the machine shop tours at Rettig Machine in Redlands from the olde daze....) I missed the EVAC tour of the Navy's NOPI interferometer at Lowell/Anderson Mesa a few years ago... Probably time to try to schedule another tour. There is an interferometer at Mt. Wilson, also... Gene (17250) PS, is there a pre-print article available of "Bob and Dale"'s work ?? I just now reviewed the SAS schedule and the latest SAS newsletter...
