Hurricane Patricia's clouds did not affect Arizona. The clouds last night (and
today) are coming in from the Pacific. The very small ring around the moon
last night was a corona. We could see some faint red coloration at the edge of
two rings. Photographing one of these requires an "occulting disc" that is
nearly infinitely far away. The giant power poles at the end of our street
served that purpose.
