One of the first to do spectroscopy with a CCD camera. Worked on studying the surface of Pluto. 1985-1988, Post-doctoral position at the University of Hawaii. Spent many, many nights observing on Mauna Kea on a variety of projects. Some of which were: International Halley Watch (Schmidt photography of coma). Pluto-Charon mutual event observations.
