Darrell,
Thanks for the info on the solar panel. I sent this as a personal 
message but it got kicked back as undeliverable.

If it is not too expensive, that would be a way to go for my purpose. 
Did you get the panel at Home Depot? When you say you have been using a 
100W solar panel/30A with charge controller, does this mean the 
controller is built into the panel, or is it bought separately?
