Thanks for the link to the very recent paper. It's pretty easy to line up
the stars. Do professional journals really allow authors to publish
mirror-reversed images with north down, east left? This is just the arxiv
version of the paper; will it appear in the MNRAS that way?
I was curious as to the periods, and most of the periods (according to thebefore, but
paper) are longer than the image sequence, so it looks like we see them
because of the image sequence loop. I hadn't really thought about it
it's why - to my eyes at least - the variables all have a similar period.
Yes, here's this is one of those cases in which a far northerly observing
site would be preferred, where the star could be monitored for a full cycle
during a single Winter night. I was only able to go for 6 hours. Actually,
I threw away the last 1 1/2 hours of images, as the soft seeing got the
better of them.
