Hello out there, You are invited to attend a sneak preview of the Dorrance Planetarium's newest production, "Galaxies," at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 14th at the Arizona Science Center. I recommend parking at Heritage Square garage, which is on 5th Street and Monroe; we will validate your parking inside the Arizona Science Center. "Galaxies" will be shown to the public at 1:30 and 3:30 daily beginning October 16th. These brilliant cities of stars appear peaceful, but looks are deceiving. We will explore the turbulent history of galaxies, as they collide and ignite tremendous bursts of new stars and supernova explosions. The public showings will include a live tour of the night sky. On October 14th before the preview, we will have a cash bar set up in the Science Center lobby. The sneak preview will begin at 7 p.m. and will consist of the 15 minute pre-recorded portion of the show. It will be followed by the East Valley Astronomy Club meeting in the planetarium. The Arizona Science Center is in downtown Phoenix, at the corner of Washington and 7th street. Please contact me if you have any questions-- I hope to see you here next week! * * * * * * * * * * * Christine Shupla Planetarium Director Arizona Science Center (602) 716-2078 shuplac@xxxxxxxxxxxxx -- See message header for info on list archives or unsubscribing, and please send personal replies to the author, not the list.
