Tom,

Very nice photos. I especially like the mosaics.

Subject: [AZ-Observing] Photos from Hovatter Rd. Site

Here are some photos from last night. The departing cirrus clouds formed a
very prominent sundog just before sunset. This photo was taken through a
telephoto lens.

Just after Canopus transited, Brent Archinal and I noticed that moving a few
steps to our left could produce repeated 'occultations' with the hills to the
south.

These are two 2-minute exposures at ISO 800 of Orion shot with a 20Da and 50mm
lens at f/2.8, and mosaicked.

Using the same exposures, these six photos range from Monoceros through Vela.
There are too many star clusters to count in this part of the sky, and they guy
who literally wrote the book on them pointed the 10-inch at some of them while
these pictures were being exposed.
