I have been waiting for the weather to get better so I can add Lights to
this image.. Perhaps the end of the month will be better.
This image was taken late Jan '19 at Picket Post. It consists of 52ea 80
second Lights stacked and processed with PixInsight - 70 minutes total.
Darks, BIAS and Flats were included. Additional 30, 50 and 120 second
Lights need to be added to bring out the core of M42 and overall detail. I
had to stop imaging because of the wind and it was getting too cold. In all
I wanted to get about 4 hours of subs.
Taken with my Losmandy GM811G mount, Ha Modified Canon 6D at ISO 1600 and
Canon 200mm f/2.8L II lens at f/3.5. No LP filters were used. Every other
Light sub was Dithered.
