[AZ-Observing] Re: Observing tonite....

It wasn?t the best night I?ve seen at Sentinel but it certainly wasn?t a wasted
trip. There were a few high scattered clouds and some periodic haziness but
even at the cloudiest times of the night we still had 70% + of open sky and
several periods of truely exceptional conditions. The southern horizon cleared
around 10 pm and remained clear for a couple hours. I didn?t do too much
(nothing) with my H400 list but I had a short list of my own that I?d been
researching, the most interesting of which being NGC383 in Pisces that happens
to be the brightest of six galaxies in a row, at 11.9 magnitude, an easy target
for my 17.5? and interesting to look at.

Clear Skies

Hey All,

I know that many were on the fence about tonite. I just talked to Chuck Akers,
and he's on his way to Sentinel....He was just coming up to Gila Bend, and sez
that with only a few banks of clouds, tonite looks more promising than the
weather allowed. If you're on the fence, and already ready to go already, you
may go ahead and head out.

Otherwise, if it's similar tomorrow, I'll see you all there...
