OK, I got a new toy, but not as a present. I actually ordered my Ha filter 
earlier in the year, it just got delivered in December. It was clear in the 
daytime and I got my obsevations in. No sunspots, but a few interesting 
prominences. I love looking at the sun in hydrogen alpha light. Always 
something new. And the best part is, who cares what phase the moon is.
