Are we still considering having our Messier Marathon someplace closer to
central Arizona? Some place south of Florence Junction should be alright. There
is still plenty of dark places out that way we could use and not too remote.
Back in 1997 I went out that way to photograph Hale Bopp and it was very dark.
I've been over there hunting birds recently and it's still not developed and
far enough away from Phoenix and Tucson that the light domes aren't troublesome.
