[AZ-Observing] Re: Nova? M108

At a member star party last night, we (members of the Huachuca Astronomy
Club) were just commenting on that while viewing M108 - wondering just how
many times that star has been reported as a supernova - I know it's
quickened my pulse a time or two in the dim past, as has the field star
involved with M51.

Hey, star in M108, I don't remember seeing! Anyone know if that's a Nova?
Maybe 11ish mag.

M108 is an edge-on spiral near the Owl Nebula.  A bright field star in front
of the center of the galaxy is often confused with a supernova.
