>I notice a new >satellite next to the ISS and HSS called "Starshine 3". >Anyone privy to what this satellite is? It's a small budget experimental satellite to investigate the effects of atmospheric and electromagnetic perturbations on orbital trajectories and spin rate. It has a heavy "educational" focus as well, being bright and easy to see, and being easily accessable to ham radio operators. It _should_ sparkle or blink as it rotates and its small mirrors reflect sunlight. That's the reason they don't list the magnitude. I want to see it if I can. Check out: http://azinet.com/starshine/ BJW Mac OS for productivity. UNIX for stability. Palm OS for mobility. Windows for solitaire. --- This message is from the AZ-Observing mailing list.
