Steve Chesley at JPL writes (to the MPML list): Horizons ephemerides for NY40 now include Arecibo radar astrometry. Position uncertainties at close approach are now only a few arcsec. http://ssd.jpl.nasa.gov/horizons.html -Steve ...this effectively gets rid of any substantial error in the ephemeris since it includes both small sky-plane errors but also estiablishes the actual distance to some meters.
