Here is an active region between two sunspots that I imaged at a one-minute interval for a half hour between 11:20 and 11:50 this morning. It's an animated GIF with 30 frames, so it takes a little while to load. Each of the images is 300 stacked frames. It was shot through a 70mm refractor equipped with a 60mm Hydrogen alpha filter. For scale, the distance between the sunspots is in the neighborhood of 50,000 miles, or six earth diameters. http://www.pbase.com/polakis/image/140803216 Tom -- See message header for info on list archives or unsubscribing, and please send personal replies to the author, not the list.
