[AZ-Observing] McNaught much brighter

     Three experienced comet observers report much brighter magnitudes
for McNaught in the last several hours:

     Visual total-magnitude and tail-length estimates made in
daylight:  Jan. 12.84 UT, -3.9, short (D. W. E. Green, Cambridge,
MA, U.S.A., 20x80 binoc.); 12.91, -4.5, 0.1 deg (J. Bortle,
Stormville, NY, 10x50 binoc.); 12.91, -4.1, about 0.5 deg (C. S.
Morris, Fillmore, CA, U.S.A., 20x80 binoc.).
