I was up late last night doing an emergency auto repair, when I was
finally done cleaning up and ready to go in the house at 12:40 am, was
treated to a very pretty naked eye view of the Moon/Mars conjunction.
I guessed Mars was about 1/3 of a lunar diameter west of the Moon.
Viewing it compared to the ground, Mars was about at the 1:00 o'clock
position to the Moon.

Mars' color was a neat contrast with the Moon. The clouds
cooperated, parting just enough to see the event!
