Thanks. The images are square because the CCD in the camera is square (4096
x 4096 pixels).

Bernard, great photograph. The Orion nebula is one of my favorites to view
from my backyard with only binoculars. It is hard to see much of anything
else from the yard, too much light pollution.
A (probably ridiculous) question, why is this image and some of your others
square rather than a "normal" landscape 3:2?

I have never tried M42 in narrowband until now. This is a work in progress
as I am working on the LRGB version also and plan to merge in the RGB at
least for the stars. I would be interested in any feedback since this is the
first time I have tried NB on this object.
