I started up my simple planetarium program and it says that the Moon has =
a
declination of -21 right now and will have a DEC of -28 on Saturday as =
it
sits to the "left" of Antares.

I'll admit that I don't know the maximum it can go, but I think that is =
near
the limit, correct?

And it still has another ~8 deg farther south to go yet
over the next few days. It should slip south of Antares.
