And I thought I had the first one of the year! Saw mine abut 0430 this
morning, east -west through Canis Major. I was driving at the time so It
would not have been prudent to look for more.

Just saw my first two Leonids of the year without even trying. Looked out at
8:00pm and saw a couple 2nd mag streakers inside of five minutes. East to
west, one between Triangulum and Aries and one S of Cetus. Looked for
another five minutes but nothing more. Duration is two days, according to
Observer's Handbook. This wknd should beat the 300++/hr we counted in the
'99 fireball shower.

Hello Jack Jones et. al.
I'll be heading out to Vekol Rd where in 1999 we observed over
1500 meteors in the morning hours on Nov 17-18. Hopefully,
this year we'l be the record.
