<http://www-kpno.kpno.noao.edu/Info/Mtn_Weather/allsky/kpasca.html> Since there's a few hours of darkness now before Moonrise, the ones taken in the early evening are excellent. An interesting comparison is the shift is sky appearance (and relative star brightness) between the red and blue filter images. For instance in the evening now the Square of Pegasus is easy to pick out in the blue image, but lost in the red image because of the strong colors of the stars making up the square. The images go deep enough in surface brightness to show the zodiacal band and gegenschein in the blue image, and the rippling pattern of the night airglow in the red images (see the link to the animations). \Brian -- See message header for info on list archives or unsubscribing, and please send personal replies to the author, not the list.
