Hi folks.
I just noticed I'm in a photo on page 59 of September's issue of Astronomy
Magazine. It's the article about Flagstaff's dark sky and on the left side of
the photo you'll see me sitting next to my 8" Dob with my back to the camera.
Buffalo Park is right in Flagstaff and you can still see the Milky Way all the
way to the southern horizon because the sky is really dark. Looking south, you
are still looking over a good part of the city, yet the sky is just full of
stars!
It's a great star party for public outreach. The folks up there do it right!
We all had a great time, at least I hope everyone did!
