I was out about a half hour ago to look at Jupiter and it's moons, and I saw 2 of the shadows. I didn't see 3. Thats neat to be able to see the shadows of Europa and Ganymede, thats something you don't see very often. Thanks for letting us know Tom. Ganymede and Europa are very close to each other at the central meridian, followed by Europa's shadow and Ganymede's shadow, which is just entering the eastern limb. We will be able to follow the moon transits until 10 p.m., and Ganymede's shadow will be on the disc until 11:30 p.m. Tom -- See message header for info on list archives or unsubscribing, and please send personal replies to the author, not the list. -- See message header for info on list archives or unsubscribing, and please send personal replies to the author, not the list.
