The speaker for the July 10 meeting will be Tom Mozdzen, a recognized local
amateur astronomer and astrophysics graduate student at ASU. After a career as
a circuit design engineer with Intel, Tom was inspired during a SAC meeting in
2010 to pursue an astrophysics degree full-time. In the first half of his
talk, Tom will describe his observations from his first 4 1/2 years of the
Astrophysics program. The second part of the talk will describe his
involvement with the EDGES (Experiment to Detect the Global Epoch of
Reionization Signature) project.

SAC meetings are held in the Fleming Building at Grand Canyon University. Room
105. Parking details may be found at this site.
