I checked Guide 8 and found these two:
NGC4754, 11.5mag, 4.4'X2.4' in 53° position at RA 12h 52m 17.6s +11° 18' 48"
NGC4762, 11.1mag, 8.6'X2.0' in 32° position

They are within 10' of each other.

Could these be the ones you found?

Hi-

There is another pair of galaxies east of M60, about half the distance from
M60 to Vindemiatrix which I observed in my 16" f4.5 on Saturday. It's in my
sky atlas with no designation. Anyone know what it's called?

Thanks,
Eric

Paul, Great images, looks like you have solved all the issues you have had
with the 12" astrograph. Lynn

Hi all,
On Saturday it was a toasty 102 as we waited to observe another night at the
Antennas. Several people had been there all week, and some left that morning
(wisely). Lynn Blackburn, Al Steiwig, and I remained, with Al being kind
enough to let us chill in his air conditioned toy hauler. We watched old
Dick Cavet videos! Later, as twilight began, several PAS folks arrived for
one night of observing.

I photographed 3 objects and added the images to my little collection for
2012. They are (1) NGC4565, (2) M109 with Gamma Ursa Majoris, and (3) M85
with the Siamese Twins. The second two were done to show two prominant
objects in one field, which is 70 minutes wide. The images are accessed by
their thumbnails at the following link. The enlargement can then be changed:
