Didn't see it, but it sounds like it was pretty awesome at mag -16!  
Something musta caught the sunlight at just the right angle for your 
location.

Did anyone in Phoenix see the ISS pass tonight at 6:58PM? And, did it flare
at your location. I'm about 100 miles north of Phoenix and the ISS flared to
what looked like about a -16 magnitude. It is slightly overcast up here
tonight, but, the flare nearly cast a shadow, even thru the light clouds. I
was able to catch the beginning of the flare on film, so, I'll try to
remember to bring it to the next SAC meeting.
