[AZ-Observing] Re: ISS Pass Over Moon, Wed. April 1

Looking at the ground track on Google maps, it showed the track about a mile
to a mile and a half further south than Tom's posted prediction. Noting the
track Google showed would take it over Rick Tejera's house, I figured I'd go
over there. Turned out Rick wasn't home and it was a graze event from his
front yard. Tom's original track looks like it would have been right on, so
hopefully he was "on station" and captured the image! I further hope Rick
reads this email before his neighbors come over to report the mysterious
individual who pulled up out front in a dark SUV and sat out there with
binoculars, talking on a radio (HAM)... (Another "Men in Black" sighting:-)

No foolin', there's going to be a very favorable ISS transit of the moon
Wednesday night that crosses much of the Valley. Unlike the usual "blind"
passage of the silhouetted Space Station, this time it will be illuminated,
so we will be able to watch the approach. Look to the northwest around
8:13 p.m. At 8:15 and some change, the ISS will cross the moon's disc in
about a half second.

The centerline of the transit across the Valley crosses through the
following intersections, and the path width will be a couple miles.

35th Ave./Union Hills
Tatum/McDonald
Hayden/McDowell
Baseline/Stapley
Greenfield/Ray

It's going to look like this, so I might as well milk this image one more
time.
