Dan--

There's been a fair amount of discussion of various Garrett binoculars on
the Cloudy Nights forum. Here's the address:

Subject: [AZ-Observing] Garrett binocs?

Decided to sell my old binocs (Spectrum 10x80) and upgrade to some "big"
binocs. I checked out the two big names, Fujinon and Oberwerk, first of
course. Damn, those brands are expensive. I'm looking for 100 mm with 45
degree oculars and 1.25" eyepiece holders. Then I stumbled across
another brand I'd never heard of: Garrett. They offer exactly what I'm
looking for at about half the price of the equivalent Fujinon or
Oberwerk. Here's the link:

0-45.htm
Does anyone have any experience with this Garrett brand? There wasn't
much in the way of reviews that I could find. But they do appear to be
American made, in Tulsa OK.
