My name came up on the AP list in late 2017 for a 130GTX. I jumped on it
along with a Mach1GTO. As a result, my beloved G11/DM6 and Tak have sat
unused. With two kids at ASU and some unexpected medical bills this
past Fall, it's probably time to move this stuff along.
I thought I would put this out to the local group(s) before listing on CN
or AM and having to deal with shipping etc. Below are a few highlights
along with a link to some pictures in a Google album. If you're

*Losmandy G11 Equatorial Head with Gemini 2 ~ $1,950*
I bought it new in 2016 directly from Losmandy and it is in outstanding
condition. This one has the high torque servo motors everyone was upgrading
to a few years ago along with Losmandys updated worm gears (not
Ovivision). Note that these are NOT the tucked motors Losmandy is
currently producing. I have owned two of these mounts ~ 2010 and this
one. This one is a nice upgrade in the motors over my previous version.
It also has some nice touches like built-in levels, a saddle with both
Vixen & Losmandy compatibility and dual tension knobs.

*Takahashi FS-102N ~ $2,100*
I am the third owner and it came to me directly from Japan. The "N"
version is the fixed dew shield. Wonderful optics. I regularly push it
well past 200x in good seeing. Doubles split cleanly with minimal scatter
and the contrast on the planets is (IMO) better than my AP130GTX,
although the AP absolutely resolves more detail.
No chips or scratches on the OTA or the lens. A really clean example of a
beautiful classic Takahashi 4" scope.

- Baader adapters allowing you to come to focus in various
configurations (see pics)
- Feathertouch Micro Focuser (still have the original as well)
- Stellervue F50 finder in white which fits the Tak Finder Bracket
(included)
- Quick Release bracket for the finder
- Illuminated Tak 7x50 Finder but I was never able to get it to focus??
Might be garbage... Not a fan of straight through finders esp. on an
Equatorial Mount.
- Tak Clam Shell with some touch-up paint on the bottom below the knob
- Dr D Losmandy Style Plate for the Clamshell
- Astro-Tech rings with 8" top & bottom Losmandy style Saddles/Plates
- Tak Camera Angle Adjuster - very stiff. I took it apart & regreased
it with Superlube which helped for a while but it seems to have stiffened
back up.
- The Original Takahashi Wooden Box they used to include with their
scopes. A little worse for the wear but nostalgic? I wouldn't transport
the scope around in it though! You'll need something sturdier / more
secure if you intend to take the scope to darker skies.
*Misc Additional Items for Sale:*
- Takahashi Prism Turret: Immaculate condition $500 - At F8 it
absolutely helped increase contrast and detail on Plantes &
separate doubles. At F6.3 with my AP, it doesn't seem to work out. Having
the ability to instantly switch between eyepieces is really convenient and
fun when comparing EPs or teasing out extra detail or the best views. It
doesn't seem to play nice with shorted FL OTAs though.
