Chris: On Friday during the day, the winds were gusting up and down, but calmed down at dusk for a beautiful evening. AJ and Steve Coe said it was a typical 'Frederickson's Meadow' wind behavior. Saturday the wind was bad all day and it continued through the night. I'm travelling for business and won't get home until late Friday night or we'd come up this coming weekend as well. Hopefully you'll have a good size crowd joining you. Steve P.S. Good luck with H400 monkey :-) P.P.S. I made a dutch oven pineapple upside down cake Friday night at Frederickson's meadow that you missed. :-) ________________________________ From: Chris Hanrahan <chris.hanrahan@xxxxxxx> To: az-observing@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Mon, May 30, 2011 8:19:59 PM Subject: [AZ-Observing] Re: Fredericksen Meadow - 6/3 & 6/4 Regardless the conditions, Karen and I are going to Fredericksen's Meadow this coming weekend. I think I saw a post from Steve M that conditions this weekend calmed down during the evening hours. Hoping for the best so I can get that H400 monkey off my back... What's a brutha gotta do to get a day without some wind up in here? The early weather forecast is for wind, wind, wind, wind and overnight temps in the low to mid 30's - yielding an astronomical fun quotient that's on par with a punch in the face. -- See message header for info on list archives or unsubscribing, and please send personal replies to the author, not the list. -- See message header for info on list archives or unsubscribing, and please send personal replies to the author, not the list. -- See message header for info on list archives or unsubscribing, and please send personal replies to the author, not the list.
