I must say that though I am a relative newcomer to AZ dark-sky observing, I've had a lifelong interest in astronomy and cosmology. That said, I am absolutely astounded at the quality, resolution, detail and color in the photos from this group. I would never have though it possible-- I guess (small aperture x lots and lots of time) + slick software = amazing results (and not to leave out talent and diligence). Keep posting them. Better get 2 and keep one in the trunk as a spare! (As a visual observer, I have to thank all the great photographers out there who pay for this stuff and work long hours collecting photons and then even longer processing them into the amazing shots that were beyond what professionals could do when I started in astronomy.) ________________________________ From: "stanlep@xxxxxxxxxxxxx" <stanlep@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: az-observing@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, April 26, 2012 9:49 AM Subject: [AZ-Observing] Re: FW: [ap-gto] NEW AP PRODUCTS!! Wow! At 1/3 the cost of $100,000 that sounds like a real bargain! (-: Stan > Some of you may have heard of Chris Go. He's an accomplished planetary > photographer.
