Subject: [AZ-Observing] Eyepieces Needed

To All,

I am looking to see if anyone has any Plossl' type 1 1/4" eyepieces in the
18 mm to 35 mm range they would like to donate for use on local school and
youth camp telescopes that the Astronomy outreach groups come in contact
with. It appears that the community as a whole has done a good job donating
older scopes to schools, camps and what not. What I have seen with some of
these scopes, is that the eyepieces seem to be those .0001 mm kelner types
that where meant to coax out those 10,000x magnifications promised on the
outside of the box. These do not make a very good first impression and are
hard for the kids to use, so I would like to "upgrade" these as I or anyone
else on such a project run into them.

What I'm hoping to find is a half dozen or better of the newer entry level
plossl types that seem to ship with all the newer scopes these days. I am
thinking that there may be others like myself who have long since moved on
to better eyepieces and relegated the original eyepiece to the "Astro Junk
Box".

If you have any that you would like to pass along, please feel free to
contact me off line, hand them to me at some meeting or event or box them
up
and mail them.

Thank you everyone for your consideration,

Jimmy Ray
