[AZ-Observing] East Valley Astronomy Club: January Meeting & Program

The East Valley Astronomy Club will conduct our January meeting this Friday
evening - 19 January, 7:30 pm at the Southeast Regional Library in Gilbert.

 

This month we are excited to announce that our meeting speaker will be Dr.
Lindy Elkins Tanton, Director of the School of Earth and Space Exploration
at Arizona State University, co-chair of the Interplanetary Initiative, and
Principal Investigator of the Psyche mission, selected in 2017 for NASA's
Discovery program.  Her research includes theory, observation, and
experiments concerning terrestrial planetary formation, magma oceans, and
subsequent planetary evolution including magmatism and interactions between
rocky planets and their atmospheres.

 

The meeting will be at the usual location and time:

Southeast Regional Library

775 N. Greenfield Road

Gilbert, AZ  85234

(The corner of North Greenfield Road and East Guadalupe Road)

Note that the library will be closed at meeting time, so please use the
entrance facing Guadalupe Road.
