Scary stuff Paul. Looking at some of the pictures in the link, the light
pollution could be significant. And it looks like both events kick off on the
same day and end about the same time. I suspect the beautiful ranch lands used
for Symbiosis will look like the snow play areas around flagstaff after the
snow melts:( This is looking like the year of the circus.

We have found out that about 34,000 people are expected to descend onto
private land about 9 miles to the northwest of the site of the Oregon Star
Party for the eclipse. It is an organized international group that has an
annual 7-day "Symbiosis Festival" (http://oregoneclipse2017.com/) described
as "..a Burning Man on Spring Break." OSP and Symbiosis participants will
have to share the same road in and out.
I was planning to lug my 25" up to the OSP but am now not sure. What are some
thoughts about how much an event like this is going to impact the sky and the
ambience at the OSP?
