Thanks, Bernard - most imagers of comets go 5 minutes and thats it. They miss the real fun when they dont give it a real long shot. It makes it look like it is really moving, which I guess of course it is :-) Bernard -----Original Message----- From: az-observing-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:az-observing-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Chris Schur Sent: Thursday, September 01, 2011 10:30 AM To: Az-Observing List Subject: [AZ-Observing] Comet Gerradd - Deep Exposure Hi all, One clear night in our monsoon and I was out there going deep on this 7.5 magnitude object in Sagitta. The head is a very nice emerald green color, while the faint tail is a short fan. The comet is really moving fast against the background stars in this 90 minute exposure, so form some very colorful trails with many red and orange stars I would assume from thier location in the heart of the Milkyway: http://www.schursastrophotography.com/newcomets/gerradd082911.html Clear Skies, Chris Schur's Web Portal: http://www.schursastrophotography.com -- See message header for info on list archives or unsubscribing, and please send personal replies to the author, not the list. -- See message header for info on list archives or unsubscribing, and please send personal replies to the author, not the list. -- See message header for info on list archives or unsubscribing, and please send personal replies to the author, not the list.
