Thanks for the info Tom.  I've been noticing that things seem to be
deteriorating slightly as we head into the weekend, but I still think
tonight is looking better than Saturday.  The Vekol Clear Sky Clock
looks pretty good up until about 11, which is just before moonrise
anyway.

During some Winters, a band of clouds to the south becomes the
predominant 
feature.  Check out today's IR image.

As of just before noon, the time-lapse animation shows very gradual
motion 
of the entire thing to the north, so I'm not so sure anymore that it's 
going to be photometric tonight as you head into the southern part of
the 
state.

This one shows just how far the subtropical jet clouds extend to the
west.
