Stan,hope your problem is solved so you can collect many photons tonight. I
checked the weather and satellite images and they indicate the sky will be
clear of clouds, but that there might be a light breeze - no more than 10
mph.
I'm going to be taking my 8" SCT to give some new accessories a try. I
don't think there will be any problems but, if so, I can put them back in
the box and stay with the older parts.

Not to discourage you, I hope tonight is good but it appears last night
may have been the night. It was really very good, steady, and
transparent. Unfortunately, I ended up spending most of the time trying
to get the alignment straightened out on the 16". I had previously
connected it to a pc with Autostar and the SKY6. Something fouled up and
it would no longer point accurately. In fact, way off. Then I had
problems parking it. It turns out when I set the park position a month
or more ago I by accident followed the correct procedure, which is to go
into settup and choose Park, and then power down the telescope. When it
is powered up the next time _then_ one uses the Park in Utilities. It
took me awhile to figure out what was going on, all the time agonizing
that a beautiful night was going to waste, which it did.
I think I have my problems solved and I hope tonight is good. Earlier in
the morning it was mostly partly cloudy, but now the clouds seem to be
clearing. Unfortunately, the wind is picking up. Last night was also
nice and calm.
