I was reading the April issue of Sky and Telescope which contained an
article
about the Messier Marathon run from higher latitudes in the US and Canada.
It
refers to the more favorable conditions in lower latitudes like Arizona,
and
quotes an AZ "expert observer" by the name of Tom Polakis.  Tom gives the
observing window to catch all 110 objects, and some other geographic
specifics.

Thanks for noticing, Rob.  I'll have to find a copy of that issue.  Since
it's unlikely that I'll locate my own notes and figures, it was nice to
learn from Rick Tejera that it's archived at the SEDS site.

Rather than reading their jumble of numbers, look at the graphical
representation of 110-object window vs. latitude.
