(Note: I tried to post before but it didn't seem to go out, sorry if it's a duplicate) A lot of folks missed out on great skies Saturday night at the Antennas. Lynn Blackburn and Dora-Lynn were there with their dog Pumpkin, and Joe Goss and his wife, and Dave Fredrickson, and a couple others. The wind died down early and the sky was exceptional. Once again I was fooled by the rising milky way, thinking that clouds were moving in. There was a big "loopy" part of the milky way reaching into Scorpius that I never noticed before, not in my 101 years of observing. I also took three 40 minute exposures with the 12 inch astrograph. - Paul -- See message header for info on list archives or unsubscribing, and please send personal replies to the author, not the list.
