Paul, Sky & Telescope's story leads the reader to this IOTA site... http://www.lunar-occultations.com/iota/bstar/0607antares.htm ...which shows a reappearance at 7:52, 7 degrees above the horizon -- very close to your numbers. The sun is 3 degrees below the opposite horizon at the time. The companion star in the Antares double star system will reappear a few seconds before the primary, but I don't know if you will be able to see it against that bright sky.
