Ya gotta see this, a time lapse movie of Comet Machholz!
Several steps involved here. First click on this link:

Second, click on "The Latest" link on the left side.
Then, click on the "Animation of tail movements" box of the black & white
image of the comet. Let it download...it's worth it!
He also is on "Astronomy Picture of the Day" with the color image of the
comet overlapping M45, The Pleiades. (Make sure it is the page for Jan. 11,
2005)
