We just drove past there back from Flag where it was raining at noon in Flag
and Sprinkling at the 5mm area and the clouds were combining for chance of
even more showers there.

No doubt the club made the right decision in canceling the 5MM star party.
I have no interest one way or the other since I would not be attending
anyway.
However, Pine is below the rim and situated close to the rim where I (just
me)
would expect more rainy and cloudy conditions because of the elevational
change
from Pine to the top of the rim. I see this all the time when we have
unsettled
weather and I drive from Black Canyon City to the stop of the steep hill.

In any event, although I am not encouraging or discouraging anyone from 5MM
it
interesting that the forecast continues to improve for Happy Jack. Two days
ago
it was 20% thunderstorms. Yesterday it dropped to 10%. Today they do not
even
mention thunderstorms.

AZZ016-202315-
 EASTERN MOGOLLON RIM-
INCLUDING THE CITIES OF...HEBER...HAPPY JACK...FOREST LAKES
 637 AM MST SAT JUN 20 2009
.TONIGHT...PARTLY CLOUDY. LOWS 45 TO 51. SOUTHWEST WINDS 15 TO
20 MPH IN THE EVENING BECOMING LIGHT.
