No doubt the club made the right decision in canceling the 5MM star party. I have no interest one way or the other since I would not be attending anyway. However, Pine is below the rim and situated close to the rim where I (just me) would expect more rainy and cloudy conditions because of the elevational change from Pine to the top of the rim. I see this all the time when we have unsettled weather and I drive from Black Canyon City to the stop of the steep hill. In any event, although I am not encouraging or discouraging anyone from 5MM it interesting that the forecast continues to improve for Happy Jack. Two days ago it was 20% thunderstorms. Yesterday it dropped to 10%. Today they do not even mention thunderstorms.
