Subject: [AZ-Observing] 4 Vesta -- Now Visible (When it gets dark)
If you have been following this on the news…. You probably already heard…
We have a viewable asteroid… and it is a BIG ONE !!
4 Vesta
Orbital Elements available at the IAU Minor Planet Center, and probably
everywhere else that list such things.
TheSkyX downloaded the information today just fine ( I used the Â
“Asteroids [Small Database] option to search).
About 9:00Â PM tonight, it will be about Az 140 Degrees and Elev (Alt) 24
Degrees….
It will be traveling in a SW direction..
According to the news…..
This thing is as large as the State of Arizona.
AND.. you will NOT need a telescope to see it. It apparently, reflects a lot
of sun light.
AND.. you should be able to see it naked eye… (or at least with binoculars)…
It will only be around for a few weeks…
So we might want to “pass the wordâ€â€¦
