Camp tonto-zona has three 8" schmidts whose tracking drives are in poor shape.
The scopes could use a little TLC too. They are used for evening astronomy
programs when school kids (mainly title 1 category) come for a day or two of
science camp. Is anyone familiar with rejuvenating these scopes and drives?
Any and all suggestions are welcome.
Also, I think they could use an 8" dob that is in decent shape. Id be
interested in buying it to donate to them, or you are welcome to donate it
directly if you wish.
