The San Francisco Veterans Administration Medical Center has an
immediate opening for a full time clinical or counseling psychologist
located at the brand new Clear Lake Community Based Outpatient Clinic
(CBOC) 110 miles north of SF. The incumbent may be asked to serve in the
role of Director of Mental Health Services for the team. Otherwise, s/he
serves as a line professional. As the Director, the incumbent
coordinates and directs all administrative aspects of service delivery
and the behavioral aspects of treatment. These include patient screening
and evaluation, referrals, follow-up care, treatment plans, aftercare
plans, program efficiency and evaluation, and quality assurance
measures. The incumbent interfaces with segments of the CBOC in order to
fully develop and implement a referral system and to report relevant
statistical information about service delivery. He/she will be
responsible for the coordination of multidisciplinary PTSD evaluation
and treatments at CBOC. He/she is responsible for program evaluation
activities, including process and outcome and outcome evaluation
research. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for the development
and delivery of a full range of psychological services for general
psychiatric disorders presenting in the CBOC. Duties include
psychological assessment, individual, group, marital, and family
psychotherapy, development of individual treatment plans, setting of
treatment goals, and utilization of specialized approaches with groups.
Incumbent should have experience in the assessment and treatment of
minority veterans with attention to cross cultural issues. The incumbent
may also be asked to teach or supervise trainees receiving education in
mental health services.

 

Salary is dependent upon candidate's prior experience and
qualifications. U.S. citizenship required. The selected applicant may be
