POSITION TITLE: Full-time, Permanent Psychologist LOCATION: Minneapolis VA Medical Center Post Traumatic Stress Recovery Team (PTSR) GRADE LEVEL: GS 11-13 CLOSING DATE: March 26, 2010 RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is located in the Mental Health Service Line with the Post Traumatic Stress Recovery Team. The psychologist will primarily provide empirically supported PTSD and Substance use interventions to adult patients with a trauma history as a member of a multidisciplinary mental health team. The psychologists will provide diagnostic interviews, assessments, psychotherapy, and case management for adult patients with trauma exposure as well as to patient's with general mental health concerns. Additional responsibilities include multidisciplinary consultation and participation in the psychology practicum student, intern and postdoctoral resident training program (i.e., teaching seminars in the Posttraumatic Stress Recovery Training Seminar; supervising practicum students, interns and postdoctoral residents). Opportunities also exist for program development, other administrative responsibilities, and involvement in research.
