Colleagues,

We have several psychologist positions open in San Antonio including two
that were posted yesterday.

 

The first is for the MHICM Psychologist with the following clinical
responsibilities:

1.       Provides a full range of psycho-diagnostic services including
the use of psychological testing for patients within STVHCS in areas of
special interest/expertise.

2.       Performs psychological evaluations for individuals with mental
health and medical disorders for purposes of diagnostic clarification
and treatment planning recommendations.  These evaluation employ a
comprehensive diagnostic interview, review of available records,
collateral contact when available, as well as objective, and cognitive
tests when indicated.

3.       Provides a range of psychological therapeutic interventions
with individuals with mental health and medical disorders utilizing
empirically supported modalities when indicated.

4.       Consults with and serves as a resource for other professional
personnel concerning the need for, evaluation of, and development of
psychological services in STVHCS.

5.       May be asked to assist in the selection, training, and
supervision staff at lower grade within assigned program area,
Psychology Service, or STVHCS.

The second is the SARRTP Psychologist  with the following
responsibilities:

The Substance Abuse Psychologist serves as the Program Director of an
interdisciplinary treatment team and co-leads with the Medical Director
the services provided in the SATU/SARRTP program.  The psychologist is
responsible for providing clinical program management of the substance
abuse residential and outpatient services. Additionally, the incumbent
provides a range of clinical services including assessment, individual
and group psychotherapy, consultation, and psycho-education.  Clinical
services provided include evidence based practices such as motivational
interviewing, seeking safety, and cognitive behavior therapy.
