VA Psychology Leaders -

 

As the Division 22 Program Chair, it is my great please to provide you
with the Hospitality Suite and Division Program schedules.  Speakers
will be focusing on a wide range of topics including  traumatic brain
injury, caregiving, telehealth, and suicide prevention.  Of particular
interest, on Friday, August 13 @ 2:00 there will be a facilitated

discussion regarding the role of Rehabilitation Psychology in
military/VA settings and the potential formation of a special interest
group within Division 22.

or programming planned for APA.

 

Rehabilitation Psychology focuses on the study and application of
psychological knowledge and skills on behalf of individuals with
disabilities/chronic health conditions to maximize health and welfare,
independence and choice, functional abilities, and social role
participation across the lifespan. Rehabilitation Psychologists engage
in clinical practice, consultation, program development, research,
teaching and education, administration, public policy development, and
advocacy related to persons with disability and chronic health
conditions.
